Digital out-of-home media – Dooh! Its New!, Its Groovy!

Well this is a new one on me, ‘Digital out-of-home media’. Which appears to be a strategy of using multiple hyper-local platforms to develop very targeted marketing campaigns – which must make sense. 

I am always interested in how marketing people look at digital media, because quite often they see through the ‘digital fug’ in a sort of brutal, but very useful way.  I guess the fact that they have to be able to convince someone else to spend money on something makes them pretty motivated in getting to the bottom of whether something works or not.  I love Social Media News Releases for example, which utilise lots of different elements of social and digital media in a very functional way.  I’ll watch the developing ‘Dooh’ media market with interest.
